• Production LMS: Blackboard Learning System Enterprise License Founded in 1867 as a teacher training school, Chicago State University (CSU) is the oldest public university in the Chicago metropolitan area. CSU is a fully accredited university offering 37 undergraduate and 22 graduate degree-granting programs in four colleges; Arts and Sciences, Business, Health Sciences and Education. In the fall of 2005, CSU began its first doctoral program in Educational Leadership. In the Fall of 2008 CSU expects to open its School of Pharmacy which will be its second doctoral program. Non-traditional and extension courses are offered as well. Our culturally diverse students come from around the country and the world to join those from the greater Chicago area. Chicago State University serves nearly 7,000 full and part-time students. Since Blackboard was introduced to CSU six years ago, the numbers of online courses offered has grown to over 60 undergraduate and graduate level courses representing a diverse selection of courses provided across disciplines and colleges. Additionally, nearly 35% of the faculty and students use Blackboard for blended courses as well as to enhance approximately 25% of the face-to-face courses.
