• Production LMS: Web Course Tools version CE Located in Wheaton, IL the history of Wheaton College began with its founding in 1860. More recently, In the 2008 edition U.S. News & World Report rankings, Wheaton College finished 59th out of 212 National Liberal Arts Colleges. Wheaton College ranked 9th in the nation in the total number of graduates (all fields) who went on to earn doctorates according to Franklin and Marshall University's latest survey, which included more than 900 private colleges and universities. Wheaton’s mission statement expresses the stable and enduring identity of the College - our reason for existence and our role in society and the church. All the purposes, goals, and activities of the College are guided by this mission. Wheaton College exists to help build the church and improve society worldwide by promoting the development of whole and effective Christians through excellence in programs of Christian higher education. With 40 majors, a student-to-faculty ratio of 12-to-1, and an average class size of 23, Wheaton students count on getting quality instruction and attention. Since 1998 WebCT has been used to support residential courses at Wheaton with the server and user training/management provided by the Media Resources Department. Usage of WebCT has grown over the years to where, in 2005-2006 over 300 courses and 6000 student accounts were serviced. During that year we used version 4.1, and the CMS was not integrated with student management or other Banner functions.
