Travel Arrangements
Chicago is served by two major airports: O'Hare (ORD) and Midway (MDW). Nearly every major domestic and international carrier flies into O'Hare, and a large portion of the discount carrier market flies into Midway. Both airports have direct mass-transit subway access (known as the "L") to downtown.

Hotels
Downtown Chicago has numerous hotels within the "Magnificent Mile" area, and the University of Chicago has pre-arranged discounts with several of them. However, the preferred hotel for the SLATE Conference is the Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers (located directly across the street from the conference location). A special discounted conference rate has been arranged.

You can book, modify, or cancel a reservation from June 05, 2008 to September 9, 2008 - after which time reservations will be accepted but subject to availability and the current rate.
